New room

HK was moved to a new room early this morning. The hospital has a ton of babies, some of them very sick. We were told that she was moved for "assignment purposes." basically, she is an "easy" baby & doesn't require a lot of nurse attention. Each nurse has 2 babies. We have been moved to a pod with VERY sick babies who require a lot of attention. I think they moved her so that she could be paired with a sicker baby. While we are so thankful that HK's considered easy, we are a bit disappointed with the move. The sicker babies will get to keep their primary nurses (completely understandable!) & we most likely will not get to keep ours as long as we are there. NICU life is difficult but made much easier when you have nurses who you know, trust, & like! We are hopeful that the census will go down soon & we can get moved out to a normal pod. We are extremely blessed with HK's progress! We know that it is an answer to many prayers! Her nurse practitioner said today that she is their team's healthiest baby. After seeing these super sick babies today, I am even more thankful. I never knew babies could be hooked up to so many machines. We are extremely blessed!

I have no clue why this is upside down, but it makes things more interesting!
