Arrows in Our Hand Bible Time Resources

Family Bible Time is one of the most important things that we can do to get the Word of God into the hearts of our children. We have written on this blog about it a couple of times & we have several podcast episodes about resources we have used.  We are working on an upcoming family seminar session & I thought it would be handy to have all of the resources in one place.

**The family seminar was a success! You can find Wesley's lesson on Family Bible Time HERE.**

PODCAST EPISODES--You can find any resources mentioned in the show notes at the episode link.

"Family Bible Time" S1E5

On this episode, we explain why Bible time is so important to families. We cover why, when, & how to implement it as well as some challenges we have faced. (The Glenn Colley lesson on Family Devotionals can be found here.)  There is also a blog post that goes along with this episode. You can find it with a list of resources here.

"Family Bible Time in Action Part 1" S1E6

On this episode, we discuss ways to incorporate singing into your Family Bible Time. This episode has a blog post with some songs in it also. You can find it here.

"Family Bible Time" S8E1 (Do you like the originality of our episode titles?! In our defense, this was spread out over several years!)

We also want to share a new resource that is on Facebook. The Medwar family has started a page called "Family Bible Time." They go live on Tuesdays at 7:30pm EST & do a devotional/Bible time with their family for everyone to join in! They've only done two so far, but they will all be available for viewing on the page after they are live too.  Below is what they have posted on their page:
We have been doing “Bible Time” with our family for a few years and have often commented that it would be great if somewhere we could find a collection of 5-10 minute devotional videos geared towards children to use as one of the resources for our Bible Time. We recently came across a Facebook post that shared the story of a school principal from Texas that goes live on Facebook once a week and reads a book to her students. We immediately thought, “she’s onto something!” After some thought, prayer, and asking our friends for advice, we are excited to invite you and your family to join us every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm EST for Family Bible Time. The devotional will be geared toward elementary aged kids and will last approximately 10 minutes. There will be nothing professional about these devotionals. We are a real family with real kids who act up from time to time. We are not attempting to show you a perfect family in any way. It’s quite the opposite! We want to invite you into our real life and learn the Bible together. We hope this will encourage you to start doing “Bible Time” with your own family on the other days of the week! It’s our goal to show you how simple, yet meaningful it can be and give you courage to keep going even if it seems no one is listening.

These videos can also be viewed after the live showing, so that you can be part of it regardless of bedtime or evening commitments. Please join us and invite your friends as well!
