Easter

I was really excited this year about coloring Easter eggs with Hannah Kate. I thought she would love it and I was right! She really had fun!  Our friends, Michael, Michelle, Matthew, & Miles, came over to eat and we colored eggs afterwards.

Michelle & I saw on Facebook where you could use Kool-Aid to color the eggs.  We had several different flavor/color choices & did some experimenting.  A few of the colors didn't show up as well, so we added another color to it and it worked great!

I also saw on the comments from the link above that you could use a wire whisk to put the egg in instead of using tongs.......this did not work so well for us! Apparently you should make sure the egg goes in & comes out!

On Easter morning, we got the kiddos ready & then let them look in their Easter basket from us.  Micaiah got a lovie from His Gem similar to the owl one Hannah Kate has.  Hannah Kate got lots of Sesame Street stuff from the dollar section at Target.
She was really excited that there were (plastic) eggs inside.
He's such a happy boy!
She was even more excited when she opened it up & found "monies in it."  I really don't think she knew what money was until then. I'm still not sure that she understands, but she likes it!

After worship services, we went to Nana & Papa's for Easter dinner.
This is the first picture we've gotten of all four grandkids.  You would not believe how hard this was to do!
After lunch, Mark & Wesley hid Easter eggs so the girls could go hunt.
This was the first cousins' egg hunt!
I had been practicing with Hannah Kate at home for a few days-hiding eggs in the living room & letting her find them.  In her Bible class, they were doing Creation at the time. They had globes for each day of creation & each one had something inside.  Hannah Kate would grab her Easter eggs, sing "Day one, day one God wight none" (God made light when there was none), & open them up! (just like in Bible class)

Micaiah even found one!

After about 5 minutes or more, it started to rain!
That might have been Hannah Kate's favorite part.

On Easter night, we went to Michael & Michelle's & Michelle had a glow in the dark egg hunt for the boys & Hannah Kate.  She put glow sticks from the dollar store into big eggs.  It was pretty fun!
Hannah Kate was VERY tired by this point!
