22 Week Doctor Appointment

We went to Vanderbilt yesterday for the appointment with the high risk doctors there.  We were excited that we would get to see Dr. B who helped deliver our girls since we hadn't seen her since the OR!  Micaiah was not very cooperative for his hour long ultrasound!  Alicia was so sweet to keep trying to get a good picture of his face, but he wasn't interested.  The ultrasound picture above cracks me up. I know it's not a good one of him, but I do think it's really neat that you can see almost all of him-even his skinny little booty! Everything looked great.  The placenta issue has resolved itself and they just recommended having an ultrasound every month to monitor his growth. I had my appointment with my doctor here today.  It went well-we talked about how I'm dreading the whole c-section thing and I realized after I left that 36/37 weeks is when he will arrive (hopefully no sooner!) and that is before Thanksgiving.  Um, I am getting nervous! There is a good chance we will be in the hospital on Thanksgiving.......but that's better than him coming earlier and needing to go to the NICU.  I am praying that he will wait until 37 weeks and will not have any breathing trouble at all.  Dr. C said today that it's not uncommon for boys at 36 weeks to need to go to the NICU and be on CPAP for a couple of days.  I really do not want that to happen.
Here are some sweet ultrasound pictures.

We went to visit our friends the McCains as soon as we arrived-they are from Elizabethton and Austin has been in the hospital for a week.  After much urging, Hannah Kate finally started saying "Austin" and "KoKo" (for Dakota) and wouldn't stop!
Then, Wesley & Hannah Kate ate lunch while I went to the NICU to take pictures for a family there.  Their sweet baby passed away today.  I am glad things worked out so that we could get some pictures of their family.  We are fervently praying for them.

After that, I went down to eat quickly, and we went back to the NICU to visit Nurse Carol (the most awesome lactation consultant ever).  Hannah Kate got a little full of herself and squealed "YAY!" for about five minutes.  People were coming out of offices and smiling to see who was being so loud.  Just our little NICU grad. :)
We wanted to see Nurse Jenna, but we weren't able to find her while we were there and then didn't have time after my appointment. :( Next time!

After my appointment, we found out that Dr. Carroll was there, so she came to see us.  (Hannah Kate was "over it" by this point as you can tell.  She was way past nap time and tired of being confined!)
We got Ms. Patti to hop in on a picture too!
And here's Dr. Bennett.  These ladies are all amazing! As is Ms. Alicia, the ultrasound specialist.....who we got to take a picture with us, but it did not turn out well  :( Sad times.
What a day!  We left the house at 9 and got to East Side at 7:15. Hannah Kate and I were beyond exhausted!
