The Fruit of the Spirit's not a watermelon
The Fruit of the Spirit's not a watermelon
If you want to be a watermelon
You might as well hear it.
You can't be a Fruit of the Spirit.
'Cause the Fruit is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness,
Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness,
Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
*repeat with different fruits.
Ten Commandments Song
(Tune: Ten Little Indians
There are hand motions for each verse also that help you remember the number & what it is--hopefully my descriptions make sense-if not, let me know!)
You shall have no other gods before me (x3) (shaking one finger)
This is commandment one
You shall not make for yourselves any idols (x3) (two fingers bowing down)
This is commandment two
You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God (x3) (three fingers to your mouth)
This is commandment three
Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy (x3) (four fingers tapping your forehead)
This is commandment four
Honor your father and your mother (x3) (five fingers at your forehead & chin-ASL sign for father & mother)
This is commandment five
You shall not kill (x3) (six fingers-the pointer finger on one hand as a sword)
This is commandment six
You shall not commit adultery (x3) (seven fingers, cross arms in front of your chest)
This is commandment seven
You shall not steal (x3) (eight fingers, hit hands together & switch to different eight fingers you're holding up-like a sleight of hand trick)
This is commandment eight
You shall not bear false testimony against your neighbor (x3) (nine fingers-hold hands on either side of your mouth & move out-like words coming out)
This is commandment nine
You shall not covet (x3) (ten fingers-pulling things toward you)
This is commandment ten
The Plagues
(Tune: Row, Row, Row Your Boat)
Blood, frogs, lice & flies, murrain of cattle & boils on men,
hail & fire & locusts & darkness
& last the death of the firstborn child.
Methuselah
(I cannot find this online anywhere-some friends taught it to us. If you promise not to laugh at me & need to know the tune....I'll sing it to you!)
Methuselah was the oldest man who ever lived on Earth.
Nine hundred sixty nine long years he lived after his birth.
We don't know much about him
Except this one short line,
'Methuselah was the oldest man,
Nine hundred sixty nine.'
