Hannah Kate

**just found out the PICC line prob won't be put in today 11:19am

I am thinking I will have plenty of time to update while sitting around the hospital in the coming weeks. So, the full story of our babies' arrival is pending. For now, here are some iPhone pics of our girl.
A few hours after birth-in the NICU.

I saw her for the first time Thursday night. They even let me hold her which was a complete surprise.

That same night....& everyone says she looks like Wesley in this picture.

Friday morning ... Wesley came back from seeing her and said, "she sleeps like her momma!" (arms over her head)

Friday afternoon....under phototherapy for jaundice. She's sporting "eyes holders" that would make Ryder proud. :)

Cousin Celia came to visit Friday afternoon. We got a great video of her hiccuping. I'll figure out how to post it later.

Yesterday (Saturday) morning...Jaime & I went down to see her & I got to hold her again! Complete shock but it was the most amazing feeling ever.
You can see her crying in this pic. She wasn't happy to be moved but she settled down. Her nurse for the day (Cindy) said she's very "persnickety" & will let you know if she's not happy.

It was awesome.

More to come later. Here are some questions & answers people keep asking :)
-how's HK? She's doing great! She was off the ventilator by Thursday & is now on a cpap machine to help her not have to do all of the work breathing. Today she will have a PICC line put in to do her iv nutrition.
She's getting 1cc (ml) every 3 hours of breast milk. She's tolerated it well so far. They said this is mainly to "prime her gut."
-how long will she be in the hospital? It's hard to say, but most likely it will be until sometime in April. Her due date was the 26th so sometime around then.
-how are Denise & Wesley? Denise has seen better days but is making it. :) c-sections are not her favorite. Wesley is good but tired. He is ready to sleep in something other than the fold out chair bed. :) we are incredibly thankful that HK is doing so well and for everyone's prayers, messages, etc. We are blessed.
-when will Denise be discharged from the hospital? Where will you stay then? I will be getting out today (huge thanks to Dr.C for letting me stay til today). We are on the waiting list for a family room on this floor. Prayers that we will get it are GREATLY appreciated. If we don't get a family room, we will stay with Celia who lives a few miles away.
