Prayer

Every night at bed time, Hannah Kate, Micaiah, & Wesley say a prayer. Tonight, before we could say anything, Micaiah started all by himself: GOD, Tankfor (thank you for) DAY, tankfor Daddy, Papa, Kate, Grace! 

After that, Wesley had to help him finish, but we were so proud! What a big boy! 

Saturday Morning

This morning in the our home.....Hannah Kate & Micaiah put cloth diapers on their baby dolls and: Micaiah practiced safety first by asking me to buckle his baby in the car seat (I'm thinking she's below the minimum weight limit, good thing we aren't traveling) & Hannah Kate said, "Want to see my baby in the NICU?" (She's wrapped in the blankets) Sarah Grace is just thankful they didn't play with her! 

Supper Fun-Just Keeping it Real :)

This is how I cooked supper---with three crying kids. Fun fun! 

We started a new family tradition tonight that we learned from some sweet friends. Whoever gets the bay leaf in their bowl of soup receives a "blessing,"-everyone at the table says something nice about them. Hannah Kate grinned so BIG at everything we said. Then she was pretty relieved that she didn't have to eat the leaf :) 

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

Today is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day. I've been encouraged by your sweet comments & by seeing so many moms post this or similar photos. I've even seen several people comment that they didn't know that the person posting had had a miscarriage. That is what this day is all about-raising awareness, remembering our babies, & knowing that you are not alone. So thankful that our babies are in Paradise. May we all live our lives in such a way that we can join them one day.

Sarah Grace's Due Date-From Saturday

Today is Sarah Grace's due date. She celebrated by going to spend the day at our church family retreat. Hannah Kate & Micaiah especially enjoyed it & Sarah Grace & Mommy are exhausted. Thanks to everyone for not breathing on her!! :) 

The kids made a prayer rock to put on their pillow to remind them to pray. HK said, "Why did Miss Jenna say I would hit my head on a rock?! I don't want to do that! That would hurt!"  

Big Brother 9/29/14

This little boy's attitude has been rotten since we got home from the hospital, it's a reallllly good thing he is so sweet to his baby sister. 

Sick Boy

Our sweet boy gave us a scare last night. We put him to bed with a cough-sounded bad but wasn't really horrible. He woke us up around midnight with a terrible coughing fit & struggling to breathe. Wesley decided to take him to the ER (you know it's bad if Wesley decide he needs to go in). They said he has croup, gave him steroids & a breathing treatment, watched him for two hours & then sent him home. We would greatly appreciate our church family praying for him to get better quickly & for the girls (especially Sarah Grace) to stay healthy. Thank you!

Songs

During Bible time tonight:

-We started singing Blue Skies & Rainbows & Micaiah sang "no! Song!" the whole time because he wanted to sing "song" aka "Trust & Obey."

-We started singing "There's Not a Friend" & Hannah Kate started singing, "There IS a friend like the 'holy' Jesus." We stopped & I explained that the song means He's the best friend we could have & she said, "No. I want to have other friends too." We continued singing & she sang that the whole time & said, "There IS a friend & God made them!" 

Camp

We went to "camp" for the day for our church family retreat. Hk quotes:

When it was announced that we were going to sing "There's Not a Friend"- she said "but I DO have friends!"

When I told her we were going to listen to Mrs Becky teach us (ladies), "but she is NOT a preacher!"

After sitting in Brittany's hammock, "how can we make a hammock? I know, get some 'terial (material) & 2 trees. Where can I get that, Mom?!" 

NICU Care Bags

More info coming soon, but Micaiah's birthday project will be NICU Thanksgiving Care Bags again. We were told recently what a hit they were with the families last year, so we are hoping to make enough for every family again (around 20). Suggested items: individually wrapped snacks/candy (stock up during Halloween sales!), pocket size hand sanitizer/lotion/tissues/note pads, pens, & receiving blankets. We will also gladly accept monetary donations to go towards these purchases. Last year, we had an amazing response including enough money to purchase a few Cracker Barrel gift cards for Thanksgiving meals. Thank you for helping us celebrate Micaiah's birthday this way & show God's love to these families in need!
