Consequence

At supper, Hannah Kate was corrected for jerking away from Wesley when he tried to pull up her sleeves. After the correction & lots of tears, Wesley told her that she had knocked off & broken a salt dough ornament that was on the table. The following conversation happened:

W: do you know what that is? That is a consequence. 

Hk: (hysterically) no! No it's not Daddy! It's not! It's an ORN-A-MENT! 

We couldn't contain our laughter. Oh well. We finally were able to explain when we settled down!
