Hannah Kate-26 Months

How is this kid getting so BIG?! She is looking & acting more & more like a big girl everyday.
Hannah Kate at 26 Months:
~Clothing size 18-24 months & 2T (most 2T stuff is still a bit big, but the 24m shirts are too short)
~Diaper size 5
~She loves to: go to Bible class, play outside, slide, swing, ride in strollers, go feed the cows, swing on the porch swing, read books, love on Micaiah, go to Nana's house, play with Mollie, have Bible time with Micaiah & Mommy (where they BOTH sit in a Bumbo seat-no lie!), feel the wind blow when we drive, cook, color/paint, do handprints/footprints (while dramatically singing "Tiny Hands" from Signing Time), ride in the car
~She loves anything "Dora."
~She sits at the table like a big girl now.
~She loves to eat: prunes (Papa introduced her), ice cream, cookies, chocolate, French fries, (she doesn't get any of those very often though!), hamburger, grilled cheese sandwiches, jelly sandwiches, strawberries, oranges, peaches, pretzels.
~She wants "Mommy kiss it," for the slightest bump or boo boo.
~There is a big VERY purple building on the way to the church building.  She likes to see "purple," when we drive past she says, "purple 'gin!" She also likes to name letters or colors for us to find for her to see while we drive.
~When we were hunting/practicing hunting Easter eggs, I told her that we were finished hunting eggs & that she could hide them. She would drop an egg & as soon as it fell out of her hand, she would gasp & say, "'ere is!" like she was so surprised.  It was hilarious.
~She learned her most recent memory verse in one or two days. James 1:17 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above."
~She uses complete sentences every now & then now.  Crazy! Examples: I can't find it.  I don't see it. I don't like it. Yay, we're home!
~She wants to "go see 'Caiah!" as soon as she wakes up every morning.
~She likes to tell us what Micaiah is saying.  Did you know he can say: Mommy, Daddy, napkins, chair, Papa, Nana, Aunt Jana, Han Tate?!  He is very advanced! I am glad Hannah Kate was here to interpret for us. :)
~She has been quite a challenge in the behavior department lately.  Whew!
~She has not been sleeping well at night. She will cry until we go in & cover her up & rub her back. Mommy is tired.
~If she gets something (like a hair) in her mouth, she freaks out. She used to try to get herself & would end up gagging, then Wesley would freak out. Now, she grabs our hand & sticks it in her mouth "Mommy get it out!"
~If she is really upset (this has happened twice) & we can't get her to stop crying, we say, "Fold your hands so we can pray," & start praying.  She stops immediately & is completely silent.  I think that we need to take that as a lesson to pray more often instead of getting worked up over things! And I hope that she will develop that as a lifelong habit!
~Since the night we had a baptism after church services, Hannah Kate has been talking about go "heaben." She says, "Han Tate go heaben, touch water." She will substitute each of our family member's name in for that one.  We definitely want her to make the decision to be baptized into Christ one day so she can go to Heaven, even if right now she just wants to play in the water!

~Favorite sayings:
*my favorite, *Mommy/Daddy comin'! (if she wants us to come to her), *Mommy come here pwease (in bed when she wants to get up), get it tweat, get it up, (it cracks me up how she uses the word "it"), go outside!, botorcycle (she's really into motorcycles since we saw one driving beside us the other day)-she will also tell you that they wear a hat to "keep head warm," *Mommy right back (if she wants to do something I have told her not to do), *is ball? (she leaves off "where" for where is questions), *OOP, 'ere is (there it is), *ah go (here ya go), *yay! we're home!
~This has been around awhile, but I think I forgot to mention it: "steppin'"--verb meaning standing or climbing up/down steps. :)

We sure do love this girl!
