Hannah Kate Update-September

We are totally ignoring the fact that August was so busy & I didn't do a post on either child.  :(  Sad times.

Clothing Size: 3T bottoms, some 4T tops
Shoe Size: 9
Weight: 33.5 lbs
Height: almost 3 ft tall (she wanted to be weighed & measured at my last OB appointment)

Favorite sayings:  "Mommy, I wove you," "I changed back to Hannah Kate," "That is not appropriate," "Don't look!" "What ma'am?" "Bread my/your hair (braid)," "extracise" (exercise), "wet cheese sandwich" (grilled cheese), "sparkling" (sprinkling), "Heaven water" (baptistry)

~She can now write a beautiful letter H!  One day, she asked me to help her & they were all terrible.  The next day she started doing it on her own & she wrote 70+ perfect ones.  :)  She also likes to write other letters...O Q ..... the other day she wrote a B.
~She likes to name who is in everyone's belly. Somedays she says boys don't have babies in their bellies & somedays she says they do.  Daddy's is "Samson," Micaiah's is "David," & her's is "Queen Esther."  Most of the time, "Queen Esther" is now out of her belly.
~She is ALL about modesty these days.  Her newest sayings are, "That's not appropriate," when referring to someone's immodest dress or even if someone in our house is changing clothes!  She also yells, "Don't look," if she is trying to change clothes or use the potty.
~She is terrified of bugs & crabs. One night, she had a bad dream & was screaming. Apparently, it was about crabs. Later that night, she was screaming for me again. I went in her room & she had her head covered with her blanket. There was a red diaper package on the dresser--she thought it was a crab!
~She loves, loves, loves pretending to be other people.  It's always someone she knows or a character from a book or movie.  She usually renames everyone else at home too & wants us to refer to each other by those names.  She gets really upset if I do not call Micaiah by the name she has chosen for him for the moment!
~She did much better at PTP this year.  She screamed & cried & it took two teachers to pull her off of me the first two times I left her in child care.  That was NOT fun.  After that, she heard me saying that Karlee ran right in & started playing with a doll.  She said she would pretend to be Karlee because "Karlee goes to class without crying!"  The first time after that, she cried all the way to the child care area.  When we got there, I called her Karlee.  She hopped of the stroller, opened the door & ran right in.  No tears!  When I picked her up, her teacher said, "ummmm, she said she's pretending to be Karlee & we are supposed to call her Karlee."  Too funny.  She did that for the rest of the week.  On the last day, I picked her up & her teacher gave me a little framed paper where they asked her questions about her daddy.  I laughed hysterically when I read the first line, "My daddy's name is Kyle."  Her teacher said, "That's not even his name is it?!" Every other question was answered correctly about Wesley though :)  She even introduced herself as "Karlee" to people at PTP when they would ask her name!  I finally got her to understand to say, "My name is Hannah Kate, but I'm pretending to be......"
~She has been super sweet & motherly lately. Most times when she wakes up, she comes out of her room with a baby doll swaddled in a blanket.  So sweet.
~She talks....a LOT lately!
~Her favorite foods are: peanut butter sandwich (no jelly!), cheese & crackers, strawberries with whipped cream, any sweet food, chocolate chip bagels, peanut butter on a spoon or knife.
~She loves "lip plastic" or "lip flops" (chapstick/lip gloss)
~She recently learned John 3:16 as her memory verse & is now working on Romans 8:28.

"Karlee" with the real Karlee :)

She insisted on taking her "ear mups" to PTP so she could be like Mr. Robert & Mr. Chris (TLN)

She LOVES her "lip plastic" or "lip flops"
