RSV=BAD

I'm too exhausted to think of new words, so here is our life via Facebook updates over the last two days:

Monday morning:
Sick Hannah Kate + sick Hannah Kate awake until 1130 last night + 7 week old + tired mama + a 230 (naptime!) appointment in Chattanooga for sick Hannah Kate + pouring rain = I hope not a major disaster! & a coke

Monday afternoon:
I survived taking both kids to the dr in the rain at naptime. Now it's time for a coke! & hopefully naps in a little while!
(Hannah Kate has a virus & she weighed 26 pounds despite her dramatic/sickly baby attempts to prevent being weighed).  We can give her Benadryl to see if that helps and use the humdifier and saline nasal spray.  Micaiah sounds bad but it's mainly in his nose. Lungs are clear on both kids.)

Monday night:
Praying that we wake up to healthy babies tomorrow. You know it's bad when Hannah Kate a) won't even eat fries! b) hears herself cough then says "barking"
Micaiah sounds horrible too & that's slightly terrifying.

Tuesday morning:
Micaiah tested positive for RSV (& he weighed 10 pounds 3.5 ounces). Hannah Kate most likely has it but didn't get tested because she was at home. Praying my babies are better soon.

Tuesday afternoon:
At the ER with Micaiah-they're going to suction & do a breathing treatment & then check again. My phone battery is low so I'm not doing well texting right now
(his breathing became very labored and he started wheezing so I took him to the ER per doctor's instructions)

Tuesday evening:
M has had a breathing treatment & been suctioned out. He hasn't had much improvement so they're going to do another treatment (different medicine) & see how he does. He's doing okay & Wesley is on the way here. Hannah Kate is with Nana.

Tuesday night:
We just got home. They did two different breathing treatments (neither helped much) & suctioned him out pretty well. They said we will probably have to do that every hour & I did the right thing to take him in. They also said that the worst of it is still to come. Thanks for checking on us.

Wednesday:
Thanks to everyone for checking on us. Hannah Kate might be a tad bit better, but she is still very congested, coughing, crying, etc.  She has eaten more today than she has since Sunday (yogurt, a few crackers, french fries, & a graham cookie thing). Micaiah is one sick little baby.  We are having to suction him out about every hour (which I am not so good at) and he is not eating well.  I'm trying to feed him every 2 hours instead of 3 since he's only nursing about 10 minutes or so at a time (vs. normally 30).  The pediatrician's office called to check on him and said as long as he's having wet diapers not to worry.  I am very thankful for the prayers of our church family & that Wesley is home with us today.  Thanks again to everyone.
